CSE Department’s students developed UVC disinfection robot- “V-Purge"

For the first time in Bangladesh with the wholehearted effort and support of students with the leading role of Computer Science and Engineering Department of MIST have developed a UVC disinfection semi-autonomous robot to fight against present COVID-19 pandemic situation. This bot is capable to destroy coronavirus with the help of ultraviolet type-C ray (wavelength 254 nm). It has also a mechanical arm to pick any suspicious object and a 180-degree rotatable camera. It is fully wireless controlled by both mobile and pc with a large area. It is applicable for any indoor environment such as office room, classroom, corridor, apartment etc. Moreover, it is cost-efficient.
FEATURES:
❖ High UVC exposure lamp to disinfect germs within 10-15 mins up-to a distance of 4 feet from both sides.
❖ Able to pick any suspicious object in the working field.
❖ Real-time camera feedback system with 180-degree rotatable camera.
❖ Automatic Shutdown in case of any motion detection.
