PROJECTS

Project 1: Host to WWLLN and Research Agreement (September 2021)

I have hosted a sensor station of the Worldwide Lightning Location Network (www.wwlln.net) in Bangladesh. This is the only host station in Bangladesh contributing to the detection of lightning over the globe by WWLLN. With this station’s commissioning, I now have access to the global lightning dataset gathered by WWLLN. I have a research agreement with Professor Emeritus Dr. Robert Holzworth of University of Washington. Dr. Holzworth is also the director of WWLLN. Interested and potential researchers are welcome to contact me.

Current Researchers:

Mehdi Hasan Rafi, PhD Student

Project 4: Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface assisted 6G Networks

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) is deemed a promising technology being implemented to enhance wireless communication services and make the smart radio environment a reality. Our research focused on the various aspects of RIS including its construction, optimization, and utilization in various applications e.g., telecommunications networks, device-to-device (D2D) underlying networks, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, UAV-assisted telecommunications, and distribution networks.
