Seminar on Causes & Prevention of Inland Marine Accidents
On 14 July 2025, the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering NAME, MIST, organized a seminar on Causes & Prevention of Inland Marine Accidents in the GMMPH, Tower-1. The seminar was attended by Commandant Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc. Distinguished speakers included Commodore Md. Shafiul Bari, ndc, psc, BN, Commodore Arif Ahmed Mostofa, nup, ndc, afwc, psc, BN, Professor Dr. Mir Tareque Ali, and Lt Col Muhammad Rabiul Islam, PhD, EME, who shared insights on accident causes, prevention strategies, case studies, and emerging safety technologies. Attended by students of all levels and faculty, the seminar emphasized the importance of safety in inland marine operations. The seminar provided valuable learning experiences and practical knowledge, enhancing the participants’ understanding of marine safety and operational preparedness.
