NAME FEST 2026 Begins with Energy and Excellence: Day–1 Highlights

Day–1 of NAME FEST 2026 was successfully conducted on 24 January 2026 with enthusiastic participation from students, alumni, and invited guests. The programme was organized by the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) with the objective of fostering innovation, creativity, and professional development among students.

The following programmes were arranged on Day–1:
1. Entrepreneurship Discussion and Career Talk with Alumni Meet
2. Naval Architecture Quiz Competition
3. AutoCAD Quiz Competition
4. Ship Design Project Poster Presentation
5. Marine Photography Competition and Exhibition
6. Cultural Programme
The day commenced with the Entrepreneurship Discussion and Career Talk, where Brigadier General Md. Awal Khan, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A total of five distinguished speakers delivered insightful speeches, sharing their professional experiences and providing valuable guidance to students regarding career development.

Subsequent competitive events demonstrated the participants’ technical knowledge, creativity, and analytical skills. Students from various universities actively took part, making the competitions engaging and competitive. The Ship Design Project Poster Presentation and Marine Photography Exhibition added a distinctive creative dimension to the programme.

The active presence of alumni, students from different departments, and esteemed guests contributed significantly to the success of the day. The successful completion of Day–1 has set a positive and promising tone for the remaining programmes of NAME FEST 2026 to be held tomorrow.
